Strang Ranch

Strang Ranch is owned and operated by Kit Strang, daughter Bridget and son Scott.  The Strangs have been ranching in the Roaring Fork Valley since 1961.  The ranch provides a setting for all kinds of equestrian activities and also produces sod for landscapers and beef and lamb for the local carnivores.   At an altitude of 7000 feet it offers stunning views of Mount Sopris and the Elk Mountain Range in Western Colorado. The 500 acre ranch consists of both irrigated hay meadow and pasture as well as sagebrush and Gambel Oak habitat.  The Strangs have made a commitment to preserve the agricultural and natural values of the ranch in perpetuity by conserving 460 acres in permanent conservation easements held by the Aspen Valley Land Trust.  Strang Ranch is less than 20 minutes from the towns of Carbondale, Basalt and Glenwood Springs, and 35 minutes from Aspen.
